Leonidova D. Psychological features of the attribution of individual successes and failures

Object – attribution of personal successes and failures; goal – to determine the psychological characteristics of attribution of personal successes and failures in the sphere of interpersonal communication and professional activity; methods – theoretical, empirical, mathematical and statistical methods of data processing; novelty – for the first time, individual style characteristics of attributions of personal successes and failures in the spheres of interpersonal communication and professional activity have been determined; for the first time, positive correlations have been shown between the parameters of stability, generalizability, controllability, and locus of control of attributions of successes and failures in interpersonal communication with social intelligence, dialogicity, and tolerance in communication; for the first time, positive links have been found between the parameters of stability, generalizability, controllability of attributions of successes and failures in professional activity and indicators of professional well-being, namely resilience, identity, and self-actualization; the understanding of the psychological content of optimism has been expanded by determining the degree of consistency of stylistic attributions of successes and failures and positive and negative expectations as personal dispositions; the understanding of basic personal beliefs has been expanded, among which attachment and controllability of the world are important conditions for the development of an optimistic style of attributions of successes and failures in the spheres of communication and professional activity; the understanding of attributive styles of personality has been expanded by identifying cluster profiles of attributions of successes and failures in the spheres of interpersonal communication and professional activity; means of psychodiagnostics of personality optimism have been further developed by creating methods for studying attributive styles in the spheres of interpersonal communication and professional activity; further development of psychological support for mental health through the creation of a program for an optimistic attributive personality style; results – individual style characteristics of attributions of success and failure in the spheres of interpersonal communication and professional activity have been identified and specified; the author's methods for assessing attributive style in the spheres of interpersonal communication and professional activity, as well as a program for the development of an optimistic attributive style, which can be applied in the activities of psychological services, have been created. The main provisions of the work and the results obtained in the dissertation research can be used in the course of professional training and improvement of the professional level of practical psychologists when teaching the courses “General Psychology”, “Psychodiagnostics” and “Fundamentals of Psychotherapy”. The results of the dissertation research have been implemented in the educational process of higher education institutions in Ukraine; area – psychology.
