Object – innovative potential of a forensic expert as a specialist; goal – to identify personal and
professional characteristics of the development of innovative potential of forensic experts; methods –
theoretical, empirical, mathematical and statistical methods of data processing; novelty – for the first
time, a typology of the innovative potential of forensic experts has been obtained, determined by the
configuration of indicators of the ability to search for new information, evaluate new phenomena, act in
new situations, creativity, risk readiness, and tolerance for uncertainty; for the first time, personal
predictors of the innovative potential of forensic experts have been identified, among which social and
verbal creativity, readiness for life changes, personal dynamism, and consideration of future
consequences play a leading role; the understanding of the dynamics of the professional development of
forensic experts has been expanded, which is marked by the non-linearity of the development of the
innovative potential of the individual, characterized by its higher level at the beginning of the professional
path and at the stage of building a career in this field; the understanding of the personal correlates of the
innovative potential of forensic experts has been expanded, among which the most significant are
personal dynamism, creativity, and readiness for life changes; the understanding of the professional self-
realization of a specialist has been expanded by identifying its links with the innovative potential of the
individual using the example of forensic experts; further development of means of psychodiagnostics of
the innovative potential of the individual through the creation of a methodology for studying its
procedural and content components; further development of psychological support tools to promote the
actualization of the innovative potential of specialists; clarification of the concept of innovative potential
of the individual, which is defined as a dynamic system of qualities and abilities that serve the successful
perception, understanding, and implementation of innovations for successful professional activity; results
– personal predictors, correlates, and typology of the innovative potential of forensic experts and the
dynamics of their professional development have been identified; an author's methodology for diagnosing
the innovative potential of individuals and a program for its development in forensic experts have been
created, which can be recommended for use in the activities of relevant psychological services. The main
provisions and results obtained in the dissertation research can be used in the professional training and
improvement of the professional level of practical psychologists when teaching courses in
“Psychodiagnostics”, “Educational Psychology”, “Psychology of Labor” and “Fundamentals of
Psychological Counseling”. The results of the dissertation research have been implemented in the
educational process of higher education institutions in Ukraine; area – psychology.
