Tsybenko O. Administrative and Legal Principles of Maternal and Child's Health Care in Ukraine

The dissertation is devoted to revealing the essence and peculiarities of the administrative and legal foundations of maternal and child health care, as well as to developing comprehensive practical recommendations aimed at improving them and enhancing the implementation of the right to health care in Ukraine. The concept and essence of maternal and child health as an object of state protection are characterized. The current state of administrative and legal regulation of health care for this category of the population in Ukraine is highlighted. The main guarantees of maternal and child health care are identified. The system of medical care for pregnant women and newborns is described. The peculiarities of providing medical care to children and adolescents are revealed. The peculiarities of medical and social assistance and special care for children with physical or mental disabilities are analyzed. The mechanisms for monitoring children's health and implementing health improvement measures are characterized. A comparative analysis of the maternal and child health care system in the member states of the European Union is conducted, with an assessment of the prospects for incorporating positive experiences into the domestic system. The prospects for improving maternal and child health care in Ukraine in organizational and legal terms are outlined and summarized.
