The dissertation is devoted to the study of the problem of developing professional competence in future masters of agricultural engineering through the use of digital technologies in the process of professional training. A theoretical justification and experimental verification of the pedagogical conditions for developing professional competence in future masters of agricultural engineering through the use of digital technologies in the process of professional training have been carried out. The essence of the key concepts «competency-based approach», «competence», «professional competence», «agricultural engineering specialists», and «digital technologies» has been clarified. The concept of «professional competence of future master’s students in agricultural engineering» is characterized as an integrative, multi-component, personality-professional formation that is developed during professional training and combines a system of specialized knowledge, practical skills and abilities, professional experience, and motivational-value orientations necessary for effectively solving professional tasks in the field of agricultural engineering, utilizing digital technologies, and adapting to the dynamic conditions of agricultural production. The structure of professional competence for future master’s degree candidates in agricultural engineering has been defined, encompassing motivational-value, cognitive, operational-activity, and reflective-personal components. Based on these, criteria, indicators, and levels of professional competence development (low, medium, high) have been substantiated. The effectiveness of pedagogical conditions for the development of professional competence among future masters in agricultural engineering through the use of digital technologies during professional training has been theoretically substantiated and experimentally verified (training of academic and teaching staff to use digital technologies in the professional activities of future masters in agricultural engineering; improving the digital educational environment of the higher education institution; integrating digital technologies into the content, forms, and methods of organizing the educational process; encouraging higher education students to use digital technologies in independent learning and research activities). The experimental study confirmed the effectiveness of the identified pedagogical conditions and demonstrated a positive trend in the development of professional competence among students in the experimental groups.
