Essay

The dissertation provides a theoretical generalization and a new solution to the scientific problem of the socio-cultural conditioning of the stages of the evolution of sacred art, which reflects the spiritual evolution of humanity. The dynamics of the formation and transformation of the spiritual meanings of works of art in the projection on the communication parameters of their existence in the system of different spatio-temporal cultural coordinates are traced. The topic of spiritual development of society is relevant for all times, but in our time of civilizational globalization, when the interrelationship of all components of spiritual culture (science, philosophy, religion, art, etc.) acquires special importance in the creation of an integrated worldview, it is especially relevant. The most characteristic example of the combination of science, philosophy, religion and art is the spiritual heritage of the leading communities of the Ancient World. The dissertation traces the orogenic (central) line of evolution of sacred art, which reflects the spiritual development of mankind from the birth of the oldest religious ideas in the late Acheulean period of 500-300 thousand BC to the creation of religious and philosophical systems of world religions at the turn of the 1st millennium BC - at the beginning of a new era. Based on the analysis of works of sacred art as objects of material objectification of religious ideas, it was found that in different parts of the ancient oikumene, similar cults and beliefs arose at the same time, therefore, different communities went through the same stages of evolution of spiritual culture. The stages of the evolution of spiritual culture are considered in the context of understanding the hypothesis put forward in the works of scientists of the second half of the 20th - beginning of the 21st century. (Giorgio de Santillana, Hertha von Degend, Clive Ruggles, Manly Hall, Alexander Gurshtein, Mykola Chmykhov, Volodymyr Yurkovets, etc.) regarding the correspondence of the historical stages of the spiritual development of mankind to astronomical epochs, which are determined by the stay time of the intersection point of the ecliptic and the celestial equator during 2150 years in a certain sign of the zodiac circle due to the phenomenon of precession (rotation of the earth's axis in a circular cone). This correspondence is manifested in the fact that the main religious and worldview ideas and cults of a certain historical period are reflected in the characteristics (religious-philosophical description) of the zodiac sign dominant in that period, in which the vernal equinox is located. It has been found that the reflection of the main religious ideas and cults of a certain historical period in the name and characteristics of the zodiac sign dominant in that period is observed not only in the times of advanced astronomy, when the zodiac circle and the annual movement of the Sun and the movement along the ecliptic of the vernal equinox point were known, but also in earlier times of human history (Paleolithic, Mesolithic), when mankind did not know the circle of the Zodiac. The constant correspondence of the characteristics of the zodiac signs dominant in certain historical periods, in which the point of the vernal equinox is located, to the religious and worldview of the leading communities of that time makes the moment of chance impossible. If the depiction of the main cults of the 7th - 1st millennium BC in the names and characteristics of the then-dominant zodiac signs is explained by the fact that the priest-astronomers summarized the main religious ideas of their time in them, the reflection of the leading cults of earlier periods in the characteristics of the then-dominant zodiac signs has no such explanation. his leads to the opinion that the coincidence of the main features of the religious life of a certain historical period and the characteristics of the zodiac sign dominant in this period is the result of the action of not only the human mind, but also the supernatural consciousness, marking the stages of the spiritual evolution of humanity. Such a point of view combines a materialistic understanding of history, since it does not deny the influence of material and social factors on the emergence of religious beliefs, and an idealistic concept of social development, since it posits a connection between the spiritual development of a person and the supernatural world. Therefore, it fits into the framework of the polyontic paradigm, which distinguishes the world and the supramundane level, material and spiritual modes of being. The proposed concept fits into the modern interpretation of historical development from the standpoint of the post-nonclassical (totological) approach, according to which, despite the fact that the world-historical process diverges into a multitude of various formations, it is equally understood as integral (total).
