The study, based on a holistic scientific analysis of professional training and professional activity of doctors, substantiates the theoretical and methodological principles of forming media competence of future doctors in the process of preclinical professional training at a medical university.
The media competence of a doctor is defined as an integrated professional quality of a doctor that enables a physician to critically comprehend, select and transmit professional information in the media space; to interpret, evaluate and apply it in professional practice, to counteract media manipulations, to create original media product. The formation of a doctor's media competence is defined as the process of motivated mastery of media knowledge, skills and abilities of interaction with the media space, the development of critical thinking, awareness of the value of receiving, interpreting and evaluating professional media information, the formation of the ability to use media technologies in training and professional activities, and the capacity to counteract media manipulations.
The structure of a doctor's media competence, criteria, indicators and levels of its formation are determined and justified. The structure of a doctor's media competence is considered as a set of interrelated components: motivational and value, search and analytical, innovative and technological and deontological. The concept, methods and methodological approaches to the study of the formation of the media competence of a future doctor at the stage of preclinical professional training at a medical university are revealed.
The study of the formation of the media competence of future doctors at the stage of preclinical professional training was carried out on the basis of systemic, environmental, acmeological, activity-based, interdisciplinary and competence approaches. The concept of forming media competence of future doctors in the process of preclinical professional training at a medical university is substantiated, which includes the following provisions: the preclinical stage of training of a future doctor creates opportunities for the formation of media competence necessary for training at the stage of professional training, master's degree, internship, medical residency and further professional activity; the formation of media competence can occur by enriching the content of academic disciplines of preclinical professional training with media content; the formation of media competence of future doctors requires the introduction of forms, methods, technologies of media education into the educational process, the use of digital technologies to create educational and professional media content; the effectiveness of the process of forming media competence of future doctors in the process of preclinical training at a medical university requires the creation of appropriate psychological and pedagogical conditions; the formation of media competence of future doctors in the process of preclinical training at a medical university should take place in a specially organized educational media environment.
A model for the formation of media competence of future doctors in the process of preclinical professional training at a medical university, which contains theoretical and methodological, content-process and criterion-result blocks, has been developed. Psychological and pedagogical conditions for the formation of media competence of future doctors at the stage of preclinical professional training at a medical university include: motivation of future doctors to master media competence, media knowledge and media literacy; creation of a university media environment; optimization of classroom and extracurricular educational interaction of participants in the educational process by creating a media environment and filling with interactive media technologies; usage of media content from both the university media environment and the media space to create one's own media product and its application in training and future professional activities; constant use of media sources in the process of digital training. Organizational and methodological principles for the formation of media competence of future doctors in the process of preclinical professional training at a medical university have been developed. They include: selection of content, forms, methods, technologies and digital means for the formation of media competence of future doctors; teaching technology for creating one's own media product; content for filling the media environment of a medical university. Educational and methodological support materials for teachers and degree candidates in medicine at the stage of preclinical professional training for the formation of a doctor's media competence has been developed.
