The dissertation provides a theoretical and methodological generalization, scientific substantiation and offers a comprehensive solution to an important scientific and practical problem of forming innovation and investment strategies for the development of the agricultural sector of Ukraine under conditions of global competition. Conceptual provisions, methodological tools and practical recommendations aimed at increasing competitiveness, investment attractiveness, technological modernization and stability of the agricultural sector in conditions of geo-economic instability have been developed. The relevance of the topic is due to transformational processes in the global economy, characterized by increased global competition, digitalization of production and management systems, changes in the architecture of international food markets, and the growing role of environmental imperatives and sustainable development standards. For Ukraine, the mentioned challenges become systemic in view of military risks, the destruction of production and logistics infrastructure, limited investment resources, and the need for structural transformation of the national economy. Under these conditions, the agricultural sector simultaneously fulfills the functions of ensuring food security, generating foreign currency income, and stabilizing macroeconomic dynamics, which objectively increases the requirements for the quality of strategic management of its development. It has been proven that under conditions of globalization, innovations and investments are transformed from autonomous factors of growth into an interconnected strategic system that forms long-term competitive advantages of the industry. The economic essence of the innovation and investment development of the agricultural sector as a process of structural modernization, which combines technological renewal, institutional transformations, greening of production, and integration into global chains of added value, has been clarified. The author's interpretation of the innovation and investment strategy for the development of the agricultural sector as a multi-level system of strategic decisions aimed at harmonizing innovative, financial, environmental and management components within a single model of long-term growth has been formed. The work has developed the author’s methodology based on the integration of systemic, institutional, reproductive, and strategic approaches. The methodological foundations for assessing the innovation and investment potential of the agricultural sector have been improved based on a combination of quantitative indicators, international comparative criteria, and sectoral features. A comprehensive system of analytical support for the formation of innovation and investment strategies has been proposed, which makes it possible to identify structural disparities and assess the level of digital maturity, innovation intensity, and ESG-sustainability of the agricultural sector. According to the results of the empirical analysis, it has been established that the innovation and investment processes in the agricultural sector of Ukraine are characterized by high volatility, the concentration of resources in financially stronger entities, and an insufficient investment in scientific research, digital technologies, and ecological modernization. The impact of global environmental initiatives, in particular the provisions of the European Green Deal, on the transformation of the strategic priorities of the industry development and the formation of new non-price competitive advantages has been substantiated.
