The study provides a theoretical and methodological substantiation of the problem of forming pedagogical creativity of future primary school teachers in the process of their professional training at higher education institutions. Based on the analysis of philosophical, psychological-pedagogical, and socio-cultural sources, the essence of pedagogical creativity has been clarified as an integrative professional and personal quality of a future primary school teacher, manifested in the ability to generate new pedagogical ideas, approaches, and solutions in professional activity. The historical development of the idea of forming pedagogical creativity within scientific discourse has been identified and analyzed according to its relation to major scientific concepts and theories. The analysis of foreign experience and the impact of European integration processes on the transformation of future primary school teachers’ training in Ukraine have been presented. The content of the concepts “pedagogical creativity”, “creative pedagogical activity”, “pedagogical creativity as a personal quality”, and “formation of pedagogical creativity” has been specified. The author’s definition of the concept “pedagogical creativity of a future primary school teacher” has been proposed. It is interpreted as an integrative professional and personal quality manifested in the ability to generate innovative pedagogical ideas, teaching methods, and techniques adapted to the individual characteristics of young learners. It presupposes the development of creative thinking, reflectivity, emotional flexibility, and professional initiative in future teachers and is aimed at ensuring the effectiveness of the educational process under the conditions of continuous changes and challenges of contemporary primary education. It has been proved that pedagogical creativity is a significant factor in the professional competence of a teacher and his or her readiness for innovative activity within the framework of the implementation of the New Ukrainian School reform. The author’s concept of the formation of pedagogical creativity of future primary school teachers has been developed, encompassing methodological, theoretical, and technological concepts and determining the purpose, objectives, principles, directions of improving pedagogical and creative training, and expected outcomes. The scientific and methodological foundations for the formation of pedagogical creativity of future primary school teachers have been substantiated, based on the integration of personality-oriented, activity-based, competency-based, axiological, and innovative approaches. The expediency of applying practice-oriented, active, and interactive teaching methods, innovative and digital technologies that ensure the development of creative thinking, pedagogical improvisation, and creative self-realization of future teachers has been determined. The component structure of pedagogical creativity of future primary school teachers has been determined, including motivational-value, cognitive-content, and operational-activity components. Criteria, indicators, and levels of the formation of pedagogical creativity (high, medium, and low) have been developed, ensuring comprehensive diagnostics of the studied phenomenon. The pedagogical conditions for the formation of pedagogical creativity of future primary school teachers have been identified and substantiated: ensuring the motivational and value orientation of professional activity through the organization of a creative educational environment; integrating a creative component into the content of professional disciplines and using modern educational technologies in the process of developing students’ creative thinking and innovative culture; organizing pedagogical support and mentoring as a prerequisite for the effective implementation of practice-oriented learning. A system for the formation of pedagogical creativity of future primary school teachers has been developed and experimentally verified. It is represented by target, conceptual-theoretical, content-technological, and diagnostic-resultative blocks. The system is aimed at developing the ability for advanced professional growth, adaptation to dynamic changes in the educational environment, pedagogical innovation, and creative thinking, which are among the key professional characteristics of a modern primary school teacher. It has been proved that the implementation of the system ensures the development of creative potential, pedagogical creativity, the ability to carry out innovative activities, and professional self-development of future primary school teachers.
