The dissertation carries out a comprehensive theoretical and applied study of criminal procedural and forensic principles of investigation of criminal offenses against peace, security of mankind and international law and order in the conditions of modern challenges caused by armed aggression against Ukraine, transformation of the international security system, development of digital technologies and activation of international cooperation in the field of criminal justice. It is substantiated that the investigation of criminal offenses against peace, security of humanity and international law and order constitutes an independent direction of criminal procedural and forensic activity, which is characterized by increased complexity of proof, a significant number of participants in the proceedings, the cross-border nature of criminal activity, the need to use specialized knowledge and broad international cooperation. It is proven that the modern system of investigation of such criminal offenses requires the formation of a holistic scientific concept based on a combination of the provisions of criminal procedure, criminology, international criminal law, forensics and the practice of international judicial institutions. It is established that the methodology of research of the investigation of criminal offenses against peace, security of humanity and international law and order should be based on the principles of complexity, systematicity, historicism, interdisciplinarity and practical orientation. The need to use modern methods of analysis of digital information, geospatial data, open sources of information (OSINT), satellite images, remote monitoring materials and other innovative means of documenting international crimes is emphasized. The concept, types and features of criminal offenses against peace, security of mankind and international law and order are studied. It is argued that their forensic characteristics are determined by the high level of organization of the perpetrators, the scale of the consequences, the significant latency of individual manifestations, the complexity of establishing cause-and-effect relationships between the actions of the perpetrators and the damage caused, as well as the need to prove elements of the international legal context of criminal activity. A system of forensically significant features that must be taken into account when building a methodology for investigating the corresponding category of criminal offenses is determined. Based on the analysis of foreign experience, it was established that effective investigation of international crimes is ensured by the functioning of specialized units, interdepartmental coordination mechanisms, the use of digital technologies for documenting evidence, the involvement of international experts and the implementation of multi-level models of cooperation between national and international law enforcement agencies. The system of circumstances subject to proof during the investigation of criminal offenses against peace, security of mankind and international law and order is substantiated. It is proven that their structure goes beyond the traditional subject of proof and includes establishing the international context of the event, the nature of the armed conflict, the status of the participants, sources of command, the connection between individual episodes of criminal activity, as well as facts confirming the systematic or large-scale nature of illegal actions. Typical investigative situations of the initial stage of the investigation of criminal offenses against peace, security of mankind and international law and order are established. They are classified depending on the source of primary information, the nature of the evidence base, the location of the suspects, the possibilities of access to the scene of the incident and the presence of an international element. Recommendations are developed for choosing the optimal algorithms of procedural and forensic activities in each of the typical investigative situations. It is emphasized that the use of special knowledge is one of the key elements of an effective investigation of international crimes. The directions for involving specialists and experts in the fields of forensic medicine, military affairs, ballistics, explosives, digital forensics, geoinformation systems, psychology and international humanitarian law have been determined. The need to expand the procedural possibilities of using special knowledge at all stages of criminal proceedings has been proven.
