MELNYCHENKO S. Comprehensive analysis of water bodies in southern Ukraine to assess their fishery exploitation

The scientific novelty and significance of the study lies in determining the ecological and hydrobiological state of small water bodies in southern Ukraine, correlated with the existing influence of biotic and abiotic factors. A comprehensive comprehensive assessment of the current state of small water bodies of complex purpose was carried out, the features of ichthyofauna were analyzed in the context of the pre-war period with regard to the effectiveness of fishery activities. The feasibility of using the presented model of fishery exploitation of water bodies was substantiated, taking into account their bioproduction potential and hydrochemical characteristics. The scientific value of the obtained results is aimed at the post-war restoration of the Ukrainian fishery industry with an emphasis on the ecological, food and economic components. The results of the study can be used to develop targeted conservation strategies, implement effective measures for fisheries management and create relevant recommendations to ensure the effective functioning of water bodies in southern Ukraine. The purpose of the dissertation research was to conduct a comprehensive scientific analysis of the state of water bodies in southern Ukraine. The object of research is small reservoirs of southern Ukraine against the background of transformations of abiotic and biotic processes. The subject of research is hydrobiological, ecological, and fishery parameters of small reservoirs of southern Ukraine. Methods: analysis and synthesis; forecasting; laboratory and expeditionary methods (hydrochemical, hydrological, hydrobiological). Implemented in the practice of production activities - LLC «Fishing, Hunting and Recreation Farm "Korabelka"» in the Kherson region.
