The dissertation is devoted to the problem of forming future coaches’ readiness to apply sports selection technologies in professional activity.
In the dissertation, based on a comprehensive analysis of the literature and practical training experience, the problem of developing the readiness of future coaches to apply sports selection technologies in the theory and practice of sports training has been studied; the key concepts of the research have been analyzed and systematized; the content and structure of the readiness of future coaches to apply sports selection technologies in professional activities have been developed. Methodological approaches have been identified and the principles of forming professional readiness of future coaches to apply sports selection technologies have been generalized. Pedagogical conditions of professional training of future coaches for the application of sports selection technologies in professional activities have been designed. An integrative-methodological system for the development of readiness of future coaches to apply sports selection technologies in professional activities has been developed in a synergistic unity of the target, motivational-personal, content, organizational-methodological, technological, and control-evaluative components.
A description of diagnostic tools for studying the dynamics of readiness of future coaches to apply sports selection technologies in professional activities has been developed, including a system of criteria (personal-motivational, cognitive-functional, project-operational, information-communicative, professional-reflexive), indicators, and logical levels. The organization and methodology of the experimental work at the professionally-oriented, practice-operational, and project-scientific stages have been described; quantitative and qualitative indicators of the experimental study on the formation of readiness of future coaches have been substantiated.
The scientific novelty of the research lies in the fact that, for the first time, the concept of “readiness of future coaches to apply sports selection technologies” has been substantiated. It is considered as a fundamental condition and an integral personal quality, comprising the results of special psychological and subject-specific training, the systemic nature of socio-humanitarian, biomedical, and professional-practical knowledge, the development of personal qualities and skills for creative problem-solving in the selection of promising athletes, the pursuit of self-improvement, and awareness of modern progressive global trends in the field of sports selection. The pedagogical foundations of forming the readiness of future coaches to apply sports selection technologies have been developed, in particular, through the creation of an integrative-methodological training system that includes target, motivational-personal, content, organizational-didactic, technological, and control-corrective components. A set of pedagogical conditions for forming readiness of future coaches to apply sports selection technologies in professional activities has been designed; the structure and content of readiness for implementing sports selection technologies in professional activities have been clarified, encompassing personal-motivational, cognitive-functional, project-operational, information-communicative, and professional-reflexive components. Criteria, indicators, and levels of its formation have been developed; the stages of formation of this readiness have been defined.
The practical significance of the research lies in the fact that the integrative-methodological system of developing readiness of future coaches to apply sports selection technologies in professional activities, developed at the theoretical level, has been implemented in the educational process of professional training. Specifically, experimental programs of disciplines have been introduced: «Professional Activity in the Field of Physical Culture and Sport»; «Selection and Orientation in Sport», «Biological Aspects of Sports Selection and Orientation», «Modern Systems of Athlete Training», «Scientific Research and Innovative Technologies in Sports Selection». A section has been prepared in the collective monograph «Preparation of Future Coaches for Ensuring Scientifically-Based Sports Selection» and a textbook «Forecasting Technologies in the System of Sports Selection and Orientatio»n.
