The dissertation is devoted to the generalization of pedagogical conditions, content, educational and methodological achievements, and trends in the formation of key competencies of financial specialists in the process of professional training in economic colleges, as well as the definition of directions for their implementation in the sociocultural and professional spheres of modernity.
The relevance of the study lies in the fact that the current stage of society's development is characterized by rapid economic transformations, digitization of the financial sector, and growing demands on finance professionals, who must possess not only specialized knowledge but also a wide range of key competencies. In the context of globalization and the development of financial technologies, the role of professional education is growing significantly. It must meet the demands of the modern labor market, focusing on the training of competitive, mobile, responsible, and competent specialists. However, educational practices at economics colleges are often dominated by outdated teaching methods focused primarily on the reproductive acquisition of knowledge rather than on the formation of a relevant set of key competencies.
The object of the study is the process of forming key competencies of future specialists in the financial sphere in economic colleges.
The subject of the study is the pedagogical conditions, content, and methodology of forming key competencies in students of financial and economic colleges in the context of implementing a competency-based approach to professional training.
The work substantiates for the first time: pedagogical conditions, content, and scientific and methodological support for the formation of key competencies of future specialists in the financial sphere, which contains updated content of professional training, reflected in the author's academic disciplines chosen by students, «Digital Technologies in Finance» and «Financial Literacy and Sustainable Development»; the combination of traditional and digital educational technologies, as well as the implementation of integrative and practice-oriented approaches in economic colleges; the structure of pedagogical conditions and educational and methodological support for the formation of key competencies in applicants for financial and economic specialties with an emphasis on the development of interdisciplinary thinking, digital literacy, ethical and legal awareness and responsibility, emotional intelligence and communication skills, readiness for self-education in the context of professional training and lifelong learning; improved: the conceptual framework of the study by clarifying the definition of «key competencies of future financial specialists» as an integrated personal quality that combines professional, cognitive, information technology, communication, ethical, and entrepreneurial components necessary for successful adaptation to changes and requirements of the labor market; the pedagogical conditions and methodological support for the process of forming key competencies by adapting the principles of a competency-based professional approach to the specifics of training future financiers in higher education institutions.
The practical significance of the work lies in the experimental verification of the effectiveness of pedagogical conditions and educational and methodological support for the formation of key competencies of future specialists in the financial sphere in the process of professional training in economic colleges. The results obtained can be used in the educational process of financial and economic colleges to improve the content, forms, and methods of training in order to increase the level of professional competence and competitiveness of graduates in the modern labor market. The developed methodology for the formation of key competencies can be implemented in the activities of teaching staff of higher education institutions specializing in finance 071 «Accounting and Taxation» and 072 «Finance, Banking and Insurance», which will contribute to improving the effectiveness of the educational process. The use of modern educational technologies allows adapting the content of elective courses «Digital Technologies in Finance» and «Financial Literacy and Sustainable Development» to the current requirements of the digital economy and financial practice.
