Essay

The first chapter of the dissertation examines the main scientific approaches to defining the essence and content of enterprise potential and formulates the concept of “enterprise potential development.” A structural model for forming the integral potential of an enterprise is substantiated. The main structural elements of potential are identified. Various approaches to the essence and content of motivation are studied. Theoretical models of motivational influence on human activity are generalized. Internal and external factors of motivation and the process of motivational management in an organization are considered, a basic scheme of the motivation system, a mechanism and a model of motivational management of enterprise potential in a circular economy are proposed. It has been proven that motivation, as one of the most important functions of management, plays a key role in the overall enterprise management system in a circular economy. The second chapter analyzes the state and trends of circular economy development. It has been established that the main prerequisites for the development of a circular economy in Ukraine are resource constraints, technological and socio-economic development, and the need to form a circular economy as a necessary business model for enterprises in the context of sustainable development. A theoretical and methodological approach to assessing the potential of enterprises in the agricultural sector of the economy in the context of a circular economy and a practical approach to determining the need for its development have been developed, in which: a mathematical apparatus for determining the integral indicators of the structural, functional, and overall potential of an enterprise has been proposed; calculates the integral indicators of potential at the enterprises under study; presents a model for assessing the need for enterprise potential development; examines the main internal factors of potential development and the level of influence of structural elements of potential on the overall potential of an enterprise. The third chapter of the dissertation substantiates the mechanism of motivational management of the development of the potential of enterprises in the agricultural sector of the economy in the conditions of a circular economy. The conceptual foundations of its components have been developed: the mechanism for managing the competitive advantages of enterprises in the agricultural sector of the economy; a mechanism for optimizing the potential of enterprises in the agricultural sector of the economy in the context of integrating environmental, economic, and social approaches, which brings their activities closer to a state of circularity that ensures, with the steady economic development of the enterprises under study, relatively greater growth in the well-being of their personnel while simultaneously reducing the negative impact on the environment; a model of motivational management of enterprise potential development, the key characteristics of which are: systematic influence on the object of management; use of the necessary levers of (effective) influence on all areas of enterprise activity at all levels of management; productive use of personnel; flexibility; mobility; focus on maximizing the existing potential of the enterprise and its further development; ensuring competitiveness on this basis by acquiring and strengthening the competitive advantages of the enterprise.
