The object of the study is the process of music education of students in art education institutions in Ukraine and Israel. The subject of the study is the organizational and methodological foundations for the formation of vocal competence in adolescent students at art education institutions in Ukraine and Israel. The aim of the study is to substantiate and experimentally verify the organizational and methodological foundations for the formation of vocal competence in adolescent students at art education institutions in Ukraine and Israel.
The practical significance of the research results lies in the development and testing of organizational and methodological foundations for the formation of vocal competence in adolescent students in the process of teaching singing in the practice of art education institutions in Ukraine, with consideration of the artistic experience of Israel, which includes organizational curricular and extracurricular forms (individual vocal lessons, rehearsals, concerts, competitions, master classes, vocal workshops, participation in festivals, creative meetings with performers, vocal marathons) and methods such as “personal goal” method, positive reinforcement, project-based research, method of musical discoveries, problem-based learning, associative thinking, cross-linguistic and cross-style learning, integration of modern information and computer technologies in vocal training, comparative analysis of performances, individual music portfolio, creative reflection, emotional and personal vocal development, “singing in the flow,” creating a “vocal image,” vocal interaction, body-oriented vocal therapy, stylistic analysis and artistic interpretation, stage mastery and imaginative transformation, plastic intonation, musical-psychological training, performative vocals; and diagnostic methods for determining the levels of formation of the specified competence in students have been identified and tested.
The scientific innovation of the study lies in the fact that, for the first time: research has been conducted on the problem of teaching singing to students of art education institutions in Ukraine and Israel; a structure of vocal competence for adolescent students of art education institutions has been developed, which includes: motivational-goal-oriented, informational-cultural, emotional-communicative, and interpretive-performance components; the organizational and methodological foundations for the formation of vocal competence in adolescent students in the process of teaching singing in art education institutions in Ukraine have been substantiated, based on scientific approaches: humanistic, cultural, competence-based, creative, and pedagogical principles: voice naturalness, comprehensive development, personal values; cultural relevance, intercultural communication; praxeological and axiological orientation of vocal training, value orientations in vocal art; creativity and innovation in combining vocal techniques and technologies, including curricular and extracurricular organizational forms, a system of methods, and pedagogical conditions for the formation of vocal competence in adolescent students of art education institutions, namely: stimulating motivation, in particular students' cognitive interest, through problem-solving and creative vocal training; creating a cultural and educational environment for students to gain in-depth knowledge of vocal art; using teaching materials and a high-quality artistic repertoire to develop students' aesthetic worldview and emotional sphere; creating a situation of success and creativity in the process of organizing students' interpretive and performance activities; criteria and indicators for assessing the levels of vocal competence of adolescent students in the process of teaching singing in art education institutions in Ukraine have been defined: need-motivational, cognitive-cultural, empathic-communicative, artistic-performative; diagnostic methods for identifying the levels of formation of the phenomenon under study.
