The dissertation presents a justification and verification of the effectiveness of the formation of motivational and value priorities of mature people for health and recreational physical activity during martial law to increase their level of motivation for systematic classes. The scientific novelty of the obtained results is that:
- for the first time, an innovative technology for forming motivational and value priorities of mature people for engaging in recreational and health-improving physical activity in the aquatic environment during martial law has been scientifically substantiated. The technology includes the aim, objectives, principles, priority types of physical activity, stages of forming the need for regular recreational and health-improving activities in the aquatic environment, organizational and methodological conditions for implementation and criteria for effectiveness. The basis for implementing the technology is the use of special means of physical education in the aquatic environment, which contribute to increasing motivation for leading a healthy lifestyle, counteracting the growing hypodynamia among people of mature age, strengthening health, developing social interaction, reducing stress and increasing mental well-being, etc.;
- for the first time, the conditions for the formation of motivational and value priorities of people of mature age for engaging in recreational and health physical activity during martial law have been established. The conditions include the following blocks: organizational (taking into account the interest of mature people in activities, analysis of the motives and needs of people of mature age for recreational and health physical activity, availability of personnel and appropriate material and technical equipment: correctly selected inventory, availability of recreational and health facilities for conducting classes, competent instructor); diagnostic (determination of the initial level of physical condition and motivational and value priorities); programmatic and methodological (program of recreational activities in the aquatic environment); control (determination of the adequacy of pedagogical influence using various types of control – preliminary, operational, final);
- for the first time, three groups of motives (situational, permanent and deferred) for engaging in recreational physical activity in the aquatic environment during martial law were identified. They take into account the gender characteristics of people of mature age;
- for the first time, the structure and content of recreational classes in the aquatic environment with people of mature age were proposed. The classes take into account situational and deferred motives for activities, namely, the focus of the main and final parts of the classes, work modes, load intensity, priority swimming methods and equipment were determined;
- for the first time, factors that limit and encourage the formation of motivational and value priorities of people of mature age for engaging in recreational and health-improving physical activity in the aquatic environment during martial law were identified;
- data on motivational and value priorities of people of mature age regarding the choice of the type of physical activity depending on gender characteristics and the attitude of mature people to a healthy lifestyle were further developed;
- data on the physical activity of Ukraine`s population under martial law and the feeling of satisfaction from physical activity were supplemented; knowledge that there is an understanding of the need for regular physical activity in order to improve their health among people of mature age.
