Essay

The dissertation is devoted to the theoretical substantiation and development of technological elements for tomato seed production under the soil and climatic conditions of the Left-Bank Forest-Steppe of Ukraine, aimed at advancing organic cultivation technologies, ensuring the availability of organic seed for domestic producers, reducing chemical pressure within agrocenoses, and achieving high economic efficiency in tomato seed production. For the conditions of the Forest-Steppe zone of Ukraine, regularities in tomato seed yield formation were established under different methods of seed preparation, the use of growth regulators, and microbial preparations. The limits of effective application of preparations containing microorganisms of the genus Trichoderma for tomato seed treatment were determined, and application rates at which phytotoxic effects appear were identified. The dependence of tomato seed productivity on changes in major biometric plant parameters, disease development, and the nutrient status of the arable soil layer was investigated. A strong positive relationship between seed yield and plant 7 biometric traits was established. The peculiarities of tomato alternariosis spread and development were determined under the use of different microbial preparations and biofertilizers in the Left-Bank Forest-Steppe conditions of Ukraine. The influence of physical seed preparation methods (low-temperature treatment and ozonation) on biometric parameters and tomato seed yield was studied. The effects of growth regulators on yield formation and seed quality were established. An economic assessment of the proposed seed preparation methods and the use of microbial preparations and biofertilizers during tomato vegetation was carried out
