Berezhnyi Y. Criminal law and criminological principles for preventing the destruction, falsification, or replacement of vehicleparts and components

The dissertation is a scientific work in which the criminal law and criminological principles of preventing the criminally punishable destruction, forgery or replacement of vehicle unit and assembly numbers (understood as a criminal offense under Article 290 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine) are comprehensively investigated. The dissertation author has developed a set of promising measures to prevent the criminally punishable destruction, forgery or replacement of vehicle unit and assembly numbers, and also provided recommendations for improving existing preventive measures. The provisions and proposals presented and substantiated in the dissertation work not only have theoretical significance, but also practical value, which allows their application in various areas. Thus, the results of the study can be used in: 1) the scientific and research sphere - for further development of problems of a criminal law and criminological nature related to the prevention of criminally punishable destruction, forgery or replacement of vehicle unit and assembly numbers, as well as within the framework of related scientific research in the field of road safety and transport operation; 2) normative activities - in improving current legislation and developing new regulatory legal acts; 3) law enforcement activities - in order to increase the effectiveness of preventive activities in this area; 4) the educational process - in the preparation of educational and methodological materials and teaching of academic disciplines.
