Pisetskyi M. Geoeconomics of tourism in the conditions of post-war reconstruction of Ukraine

The dissertation is devoted to a comprehensive study of the geoeconomics of tourism in the context of post-war reconstruction of Ukraine. The research substantiates the theoretical and methodological foundations of the geoeconomic approach to tourism development, integrating spatial, economic, socio-cultural, and institutional components. It is determined that the geoeconomics of tourism functions as a system of spatial-economic relations and flows formed through the integration of national tourist destinations into the global market. The study systematizes scientific approaches to the analysis of spatial differentiation of tourism markets, competitiveness of destinations, and the impact of globalization on the territorial organization of tourism. A methodological toolkit is developed, including spatial analysis, economic modeling, cluster analysis, and mapping, which enables a comprehensive assessment of tourism development. Special attention is paid to improving the concept of geoeconomic transformation of the tourism sector in the post-war period, considering security factors, regional infrastructure conditions, and the need for balanced territorial development. An institutional model of tourism development is proposed, ensuring interaction between public, private, and civil sectors, and promoting the formation of tourism clusters as key drivers of competitiveness. The necessity of integrating Ukraine’s tourism sector into global value chains is substantiated through the development of digital platforms, harmonization of quality standards, and strengthening of international cooperation. Strategic directions for forming a positive tourism image and increasing investment attractiveness are identified. Conclusions. The geoeconomic approach serves as an effective tool for post-war recovery of the tourism sector, ensuring Ukraine’s integration into the global tourism space, optimization of resource use, and the formation of sustainable development models under contemporary global challenges.
