Petrunchak D. The Formation of the Sociocultural Universal of Hospitality in the Professional Training of Future Hotel and Restaurant Management Specialists

The dissertation research addresses a timely topic and substantiates the necessity of forming a sociocultural universal of hospitality in the professional training of future hotel and restaurant industry specialists in higher education institutions. The aim of the dissertation has been achieved, namely, the theoretical and methodological substantiation of the process of forming the sociocultural universal of hospitality in the professional training of future hotel and restaurant specialists in higher education institutions for the development of recreational potential. The object of the study-the process of forming the sociocultural universal of hospitality in the professional training of future hotel and restaurant specialists has been substantiated. The subject of the study is the model and methodological framework for forming the sociocultural universal of hospitality in the professional training of future specialists in the hotel and restaurant industry, namely "Gostivia." The scientific novelty of the obtained results lies in the following: for the first time, the content and functional purpose of international and national legal and technical regulations in the hospitality industry (in particular, in the hotel and restaurant sectors), as well as in the fields of education, science, and innovation, have been determined, and priorities for their improvement have been identified; the architecture for forming the sociocultural universal of hospitality in the professional training of future hotel and restaurant specialists has been developed and substantiated, including the cross-cutting implementation of the "Gostivia" methodological framework within the elective course "Hospitality as a Sociocultural Universal", as well as the competency model "360° Sociocultural Universal of Hospitality", which comprises 20 components and 20 key competencies for expressing this universality; criteria (axiological, technological, and sociopolitical) and corresponding levels (high, medium, low) for assessing the formation of the sociocultural universal of hospitality in the professional training of future hotel and restaurant specialists have been developed and substantiated; the current state and prospects of professional training for future hotel and restaurant specialists in higher education institutions (pilot sites) have been analyzed in the context of developing Ukraine's recreational potential using a regional approach; Updated content of program learning outcomes, as well as general and specialized (professional) competencies, has been proposed to improve the Ukrainian Higher Education Standard for the field of knowledge J "Transport and Services," specialty J2 "Hotel and Restaurant Business and Catering," at the first (bachelor's) level of higher education; the theory and methodology of forming the sociocultural universal of hospitality in the professional training of future hotel and restaurant specialists have been further developed. The practical significance of the research results lies in the following: updated content of program learning outcomes, general competencies, and specialized (professional) competencies has been proposed for improving the Ukrainian Higher Education Standard in the field of knowledge J "Transport and Services," specialty J2 "Hotel and Restaurant Business and Catering," at the first (bachelor's) level of higher education; the architecture of forming the sociocultural universal of hospitality in the professional training of future hotel and restaurant specialists has been developed and substantiated, including the cross-cutting implementation of the "Gostivia" methodological framework within the elective course "Hospitality as a Sociocultural Universal", along with the competency model "360° Sociocultural Universal of Hospitality," which includes 20 components and 20 key competencies. In Chapter 1, "Theoretical Aspects of Substantiating the Pedagogical Problem of Forming the Sociocultural Universal of Hospitality in the Professional Training of Future Hotel and Restaurant Specialists," a theoretical analysis of the research problem is carried out; a terminological (thesaurus) analysis of the concept under study is conducted; and a content analysis of the regulatory and technical framework governing the professional training of future hotel and restaurant specialists is provided.
