The dissertation develops and scientifically substantiates theoretical and methodological provisions and practical recommendations for the formation and enhancement of the investment attractiveness of industrial enterprises in the conditions of economic recovery of Ukraine. In Chapter 1 “Theoretical foundations of the investment attractiveness of industrial enterprises,” scientific approaches to defining the essence of the category “investment attractiveness” were generalized and deepened, and its economic content was clarified with due regard to the current conditions of Ukraine’s economic recovery. It was proven that the investment attractiveness of an industrial enterprise should be considered as an integral characteristic reflecting its ability to attract and efficiently use investment resources, taking into account risks, development potential, and the influence of the external environment. The interpretation of the essence of the concept of “investment attractiveness of an industrial enterprise” was further developed as an integral characteristic of its capacity for innovation and investment growth, digital transformation, and resilience to risks in the process of economic recovery. It was determined that the formation of investment attractiveness takes place under the influence of a set of interrelated factors of different levels that reflect both the external environment of enterprise operation and its internal characteristics. Scientific and methodological approaches to studying the influence of macroeconomic and regional factors were further developed through the formation of a comprehensive approach to enhancing the investment attractiveness of industrial enterprises, which, unlike existing approaches, provides for the integration of security-related, macrofinancial, institutional, infrastructural, and innovation-cluster factors into a unified system for the assessment and management of investment processes. In Chapter 2 “Assessment of the investment attractiveness of industrial enterprises in Ukraine,” a comprehensive analysis of the current state of investment activity was carried out, and key trends in the formation of investment attractiveness under the conditions of post-war economic recovery were identified. Approaches to assessing the investment attractiveness of industrial enterprises were further developed through the systematization of its dynamics in 2014–2024, which, unlike existing approaches, made it possible to reveal the contradictory nature of its formation under the influence of the combined positive effects of reforms and integration into global markets, alongside the restraining impact of institutional constraints and war-related risks, and also to identify new drivers and conditions for the growth of investment attractiveness under the conditions of economic recovery. An analysis of the financial and economic condition of industrial enterprises was conducted, and the key factors influencing their investment activity were identified. Methodological approaches to assessing investment risks and enterprise opportunities were further developed which, unlike existing approaches, provide for the use of analytical, statistical, and expert-analytical instruments in combination with elements of machine learning to identify risks in the post-crisis period.
In Chapter 3 “Formation of tools for ensuring the investment attractiveness of industrial enterprises in the conditions of economic recovery of Ukraine,” a set of theoretical-methodological and applied solutions aimed at improving the effectiveness of managing the investment attractiveness of enterprises under modern economic conditions was developed and substantiated. It was proven that ensuring a high level of investment attractiveness requires the integration of economic, institutional, and digital instruments into a unified management system. The conceptual model for the formation of the investment attractiveness of an industrial enterprise was improved which, unlike existing models, integrates economic, institutional, social, and digital-technological factors into a unified system of strategic management, and also reflects the logic of the interrelationship among investment resources, the level of enterprise innovativeness, its digital maturity, and competitiveness. The scientific and methodological approach to assessing investment attractiveness was improved on the basis of combining the multicriteria TOPSIS method with artificial intelligence algorithms for the automatic determination of indicator weighting coefficients, which increases the accuracy and objectivity of the assessment. The generalization of the obtained results made it possible to formulate practical recommendations for enhancing the investment attractiveness of industrial enterprises, which may be used in the activities of enterprises, public authorities, and investors in the process of Ukraine’s economic recovery.
