Budkevych V. Trends in the Development of Professional Training of Master of Laws Students in Higher Education Institutions of the United Kingdom

The dissertation presents a comprehensive comparative pedagogical analysis of the trends in the development of professional training of Master of Laws students in higher education institutions of the United Kingdom. The research is aimed at identifying the internal logic of the evolution of British legal master’s education from a relatively elite and predominantly academically oriented model of the second half of the twentieth century to a modern diversified system that combines academic depth, professional relevance, research culture, digital competence, ethical sensitivity, and multi-level quality assurance mechanisms in higher education. It is substantiated that British legal master’s education is not merely a set of individual educational programs, but a complex pedagogical phenomenon formed at the intersection of university autonomy, professional regulation, state educational policy, international comparability of qualifications, and transformations in the legal services market.
