Dissertation for obtaining the Doctor of Philosophy degree in specialty 076 “Entrepreneurship, Trade and Exchange Activities” (07 Management and Administration). – Lviv Polytechnic National University, Lviv, 2026.
The dissertation research is devoted to the formation and development of the transfer potential of trade enterprises under the conditions of economic digitalization, increasing competition, and dynamic transformations of the market environment. The relevance of the topic is determined by the necessity to enhance the adaptability, competitiveness, and efficiency of trade enterprises through the integration of modern management approaches, digital technologies, and mechanisms for the transfer of knowledge, innovations, and resources.
The study systematizes the theoretical and methodological foundations of the formation of enterprise transfer potential and reveals its essence as an integral characteristic that determines an enterprise’s ability to accumulate, adapt, and effectively use resources, innovations, technologies, and partnership relations in order to ensure sustainable development. Scientific approaches to the interpretation of transfer potential are generalized, and its significance in ensuring the strategic flexibility of enterprises within the modern competitive environment is substantiated.
The first chapter investigates the evolution of scientific approaches to the formation of mechanisms for managing transfer potential and identifies the key factors of its development. It is substantiated that the development of trade enterprises largely depends on their ability to integrate digital technologies, automated management systems, CRM platforms, electronic marketing, and data analytics tools. The main principles of transfer potential formation are identified, including flexibility, adaptability, integration of business processes, innovativeness, customer orientation, and continuous improvement of management procedures.
The second chapter provides a comprehensive analysis and assessment of the transfer potential of trade enterprises. It is proved that the key factors of its development include the level of technological support, personnel qualifications, efficiency of management processes, quality of customer service, marketing activity, and enterprise innovativeness. It is established that the digitalization of business processes, the use of mobile applications, chatbots, electronic platforms, and big data processing systems contribute to increasing competitiveness and expanding market opportunities for enterprises.
To assess the influencing factors, the Principal Component Analysis (PCA) method was applied, which made it possible to reduce the dimensionality of the studied indicators and identify the most significant factors in the formation of transfer potential. The results of the statistical analysis confirmed the adequacy of the model and a high level of data generalization, as the first principal components explain more than 98% of the variation in indicators. This enabled the structuring of the system of relationships between economic, technological, and managerial parameters of trade enterprise activities.
The third chapter proposes methodological and applied tools for improving the processes of formation and development of transfer potential. Approaches to multicriteria risk assessment using the Saaty Analytic Hierarchy Process combined with fuzzy logic (Fuzzy AHP) were developed, which made it possible to improve the accuracy of expert evaluation and reduce the subjectivity of managerial decisions. For risk analysis, the application of the Wald, Hurwicz, Laplace, Hodges-Lehmann, and Savage criteria is proposed, ensuring a comprehensive approach to evaluating uncertainties and selecting optimal managerial decisions.
Special attention is paid to forecasting the development of transfer potential using ARCH family models, including GARCH, EGARCH, GJR-GARCH, and FIEGARCH. The application of these models made it possible to account for the volatility of economic indicators, the asymmetric influence of external shocks, and long-term dependencies in enterprise development. It is proved that the use of ARCH models increases forecasting accuracy and creates a foundation for substantiated strategic planning of trade enterprise activities.
As a result of the research, it is substantiated that the effective formation and development of the transfer potential of trade enterprises requires the combination of modern digital technologies, mathematical modeling methods, risk management tools, and flexible management approaches. The practical significance of the obtained results lies in the creation of applied tools for increasing the efficiency of business processes, optimizing resource utilization, strengthening competitive advantages.
