The object of the research is the formation of pupils’ cultural competence in general secondary education institutions.
The subject of the research is the methodology of forming adolescent pupils’ cultural competence in the process of composer’s creativity in general secondary education institutions.
The aim of the research is the theoretical substantiation and practical verification of the methodology of forming adolescent pupils’ cultural competence in the process of composer’s creativity in general secondary education institutions.
The scientific novelty of acquired research results lies in the fact that for the first time the methods of forming adolescent pupils’ cultural competence in the process of composer’s creativity in general secondary education institutions were developed and determined being based on the fundamentals of culturological, competence, creative, and acmeological methodological approaches and corresponding pedagogical principles such as culture orientation and culture creativity in the process of gaining genre and style peculiarities of musical creativity of different historical epochs, intercultural dialogue, systemacy and coherence in teaching music literacy and principles of music-making, praxeological pattern in music training, innovation in the use of educational forms, methods, means, and technologies, freedom of creativity in music improvisation and composition, pupils’ personal development by music art means, productivity in improvisation and creating music works; four groups of methods as motivation and culture creating, information and cognitive, activity and creative, reflexive and result, and pedagogical conditions of forming the mentioned competence, in particular, setting up motivational and culture creating educational environment; enrichment of music training content with music literacy information, elementary music-making and creating music works by using digital technologies; the use of genre and style models in practical music-making and music fragments production, improvisation in composer’s creativity; stimulation of positive reflexion in gaining composer’s creativity results; criteria and indicators of forming adolescent pupils’ cultural competence in the process of composer’s creativity in general secondary education institutions were defined. The concept “cultural competence”, the essence and peculiarity of adolescent pupils’ composer’s activity in general secondary education institutions in the context of forming their cultural competence have been specified. The structure of adolescent pupils’ composer’s activity in general secondary education institutions, diagnostic methods of forming pupils’ cultural competence in the process of composer’s activity in general secondary education institutions have been further developed.
