The relevance of the study is determined by the need to formulate effective economic development strategies for Ukrainian enterprises under the conditions of economic transformation, which is characterized by the high dynamism of the external environment, the intensification of global competition, the digitalization of business processes, energy challenges, and the need to ensure sustainable development. Of particular importance is the development of adaptive strategic approaches that enable enterprises to ensure competitiveness, economic resilience, the efficient use of their resource potential, and the capacity for long-term development under the conditions of the post-war recovery of the Ukrainian economy.
The first chapter, "Theoretical and Methodological Foundations of the Formation and Implementation of the Economic Development Strategy of Enterprises under the Conditions of the Transformation of the Ukrainian Economy," examines the theoretical and methodological principles of the strategic management of enterprises. Scientific approaches to defining the essence of the concepts of "strategy" and "enterprise economic development" are summarized. It is substantiated that the economic development strategy of an enterprise constitutes a comprehensive system of long-term managerial decisions aimed at ensuring qualitative and quantitative changes in the enterprise's activities, enhancing its competitiveness, improving the efficiency of resource use, and adapting to transformations of the external environment.
Contemporary approaches to the formation of enterprise economic development strategies are systematized, and the main factors of their effective implementation are identified, including innovativeness, digital transformation, human capital development, resource efficiency, investment activity, organizational flexibility, and the enterprise's ability to adapt to change. Methodological approaches to the formation and evaluation of the effectiveness of enterprise economic development strategies are generalized. The expediency of the integrated use of strategic analysis tools is substantiated, in particular SWOT analysis, PESTEL analysis, scenario analysis, benchmarking, the Balanced Scorecard, and strategy maps, for substantiating strategic decisions.
The second chapter, "Analysis of the Preconditions and Study of the Features of the Economic Development of Enterprises under the Conditions of the Transformation of the Ukrainian Economy," provides a comprehensive analysis of the current state, development potential, and operational problems of Ukrainian enterprises. It is established that enterprises operate under conditions of considerable economic, political, and institutional instability, which necessitates the improvement of strategic management and the search for new models of ensuring economic development.
The main strategic guidelines and factors of enterprise economic development are examined, and the role of innovation activity, digitalization, effective resource management, investment support, and organizational adaptability in the formation of competitive advantages is determined. An assessment of the resource provision and financial capabilities for implementing enterprise economic development strategies is carried out. It is established that the key constraints on development are the insufficiency of financial resources, a high level of risk, and the need for technological modernization, the improvement of management systems, and increased efficiency in the use of existing potential.
The third chapter, "Conceptual and Methodological Foundations and Mechanisms for the Implementation of the Economic Development Strategy of Enterprises under the Conditions of the Transformation of the Ukrainian Economy," develops a conceptual model for the formation and implementation of enterprise economic development strategies. The proposed model is based on the interconnected combination of strategic diagnostics of the external and internal environment, the assessment of the enterprise's potential, the determination of strategic goals, the formation of development alternatives, the implementation of managerial measures, and the monitoring of results.
The methodological approach to the formation and implementation of enterprise economic development strategies is improved; it provides for the sequential performance of the stages of assessing strategic potential, identifying development opportunities, selecting strategic alternatives, and evaluating the effectiveness of the implementation of strategic decisions. A system of criteria for assessing the strategic potential of enterprises is proposed, comprising production and technological, financial and investment, resource, innovation, digital, organizational, and market characteristics.
