SUMMARY
Bihuniak A. Ya. Civilizational Vectors of Axiological Changes in Contemporary Ukrainian Society. – Qualifying academic work in manuscript form.
Dissertation for the degree of Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Specialty 033 Philosophy. Ivan Franko Drohobych State Pedagogical University. Drohobych, 2026.
The scientific novelty of the obtained results is specified in the following provisions.
For the first time:
– a socio-philosophical model of the civilizational vectors of axiological changes in contemporary Ukrainian society has been developed as an integral phenomenon encompassing the value-cultural, socio-institutional, political-legal, and economictechnological dimensions of social development in their interrelation;
– the author’s interpretation of the concept of “civilizational vector” as a socio-philosophical category metaphorically denoting the direction, movement, and purposiveness of social development has been substantiated, and the key civilizational vectors of contemporary Ukrainian society have been systematized;
– axiological changes in culture have been examined in their dialectical cause-and-effect relationship with society’s civilizational choice through the algorithm “preconditions ↔ changes ↔ consequences,” which makes it possible to identify the logic and driving forces of value transformations.
The following has been further developed:
– the application of the metaanthropological approach to the analysis of axiological changes in contemporary Ukrainian society;
– the proposition that civilizational choice is not merely a geopolitical decision but a profound reorientation of the value-cultural paradigm of society;
– the socio-philosophical interpretation of the phenomena of charity, volunteering, happiness, and civic identity as markers of axiological changes under the conditions of the Russian-Ukrainian war;
– the understanding of tradition as a living mechanism for preserving the axiological core of a community under conditions of modernization and civilizational choice: Ukraine’s integration into the space of common European values occurs not despite its national tradition, but through and together with it.
The following has been clarified:
– the content and correlation of the concepts of “civilization,” “civilizational development,” and “civilizational choice” within the context of the socio-philosophical analysis of axiological changes in Ukraine;
– the concept of memory, which in contemporary conditions serves as the foundation of a new paradigm of socio-philosophical and cultural research, enabling a fresh perspective on the interrelated spheres of art and literature, politics and sociology, religion and law.
