Thesis presents the results of study of clinical and laboratory indices and parameters of adaptation in children permanently residing in areas of exposure to ionizing radiation and undergoing rehabilitation in health resorts of Evpatoria five and ten years after the catastrophe on Chernobyl nuclear power station (CNPS). The results presented in this study reveal the alteration of adaptation parameters in affected chil- dren that correlates with disturbances in hormonal homeostasis. The analysis of the effectiveness of treatment in health resorts during different seasons indicates that such a treatment is deneficial for affected children at any time during the year. Adaptation reactinos and adaptation potentials of individual patents should be considered in treatment program. The study provides the system for creating individual therapeutic and rehabilitation programs and for assessment of their effectiveness.
