Essay

The state of Pinus pallasiana D.Don in the plantations of Krivbass has been evaluated on the basis of the analysis of the individual variation of quantitative morphometric features. The negative effect of industrial pollution on seed productivity (which occurs owing to hightened mortality of seed - buds at the progamic and syngamic stages of reproduction) has been indicated. It has been forend, that in Krivbass's man-made plantations, different by their purpose, the level of allozymous variation is higher than in trees of different height in one macroslope of the Mountainous Crimea. In heterozygous trees of Krivbass there have been observed a high level of alleles segregation infringement and in Binvestigated loci the selection in favour of the allele which occurs more often. The methodical approaches of restoration and extension of this pine's plantations in Krivbass have been developed and the use of this species for phytoindication of the industrial pollution degree has been suggested.
