The object of study: nuclear fuel. The aim of study: development of nuclear fuel and substantiation of its serviceability. Methods and equipment: non-standard technological equipment, modern methods and instruments. Theoretical and practical results, newness: UO2, UO2(Al2O3,SiO2), (Th,U)O2, UCN microspherical fuels were created by mechanical spheroidization method. Kinetics of heterogeneous reactions for carbothermic conversion UO2 was investigated. It has allowed to conduct process in a closed volume. The serviceability of created fuels is justified in reactor conditions from 900 оС to 1500 оС to a burnup 20 % fima. Degree of practical application: the technologies are used in experimental production at NSC KIPT. The sphere of application: atomic engineering.
