Essay

The thesis is devoted to development of a system of electromechanical energy converter of flywheel storage for traction power supply networks. The conception of a prospective flywheel storage with an electromechanical energy converter in the form of DC machine with a thyristors commutator is elaborated. A mathematical model of machine which enable to analyze flywheel storage parameters influence on various modes of its work is created. The notion of an angle characteristic evaluating load angle influence on processes of energy exchange among traction networks objects is introduced. A mathematical model of current commutation process in the armature is created and used to investigate the parameters influence on the nominal of the commutator.
