Essay

It is established by ellipsometric and magnetometric methods that metalloid segregations are formed in the subsurface layers of Fe- and Co-based amorphous alloys under thermal annealing that caused embrittlement of alloys. It is shown that evolution of the magnetic and optical properties of Fe-Cr-B alloy under laser treatment is caused by changes of volumt fraction of the crystalline phase in the subsurfact layers of ribbons.
