Essay

The dissertation deals with the current problems of a neurosurgical treatment of the fire-arm injuries of peripheral nerves of upper and lower extremities in peaceful time. Investigation of clinical observations of the 1200 patients with traumatic lesions of the peripheral nerves established that fire-arm injuries occureed in 7,1 % of patients. Our data on causes of their development are based on the investigation of the 86 patients with fire-arm injuries of peripheral nerves. Indications and optimum terms to surgical treatment fire-arm injuries of peripheral nerves were determined. Expediency and efficiency of using the direct electric and magnetic stimulation therapy in early post-operation period is shown after neurolisis
