Essay

Considering insights about concentration changes in the boundary electrolyte layer, it was elaborated a quantitative description and explanation of experimental data obtained in the case of direct current course.The main patterns were found out for concentration changes of reactants, local ohmic resistance of electrolyte in various cuts of electrochemical system and for general resistance of the electrolyte under current imposed. The correlation between composition changes of boundary electrolyte layer and the rate of aluminium dissolution under its cathodic polarization in aqueous solutions were investigated. The reasons were clarified of breaking influence of Zn, Al, Mn,Mg and some other metals' salts into the hydrogen evolution reaction.
