Research subjects: 43 species of annual ornamental flower plants. Research objectives: investigation of the biology of the ornamental flower plants stability of different tacxonomic groups on various stages of development, estimation of possibility of their tolerance by use the antioxidants in model and field experiments. Methods: morphological, anatomical, ecophysiological and others. Theoretical and practical results: character of influence of the environmental pollution with chromium on ornamental flower plants of different age and evolutionary advance were established. The optimum age and the way of planting in zones with different levels of environmental pollution with chromium on the basis of the morpho-functional estimation of plants condition, was determined the use of antioxidants (ambiol and phenozan) for increasing of resistance of plants to action of chromium surplus was suggested. The scientific well founded assortment of ornamental flower plants for planting of greenery of industrial ter ritories contaminated with chromium with due regard for plants tolerance of different age groups, was worked out. Novel ty of the introduced: first the anionic and cationic forms of chromium on the first stages of ontogeny were studied and compared resistance ornamental flower plants of different ages states to influence of surplus concentrations of heavy metal, the most favorable age and way of planting, were established, original experiments of studying of function of photosynthetic apparatus in conditions of initiation of free radical processes by chromium surplus, rise of plants resistance with help of antioxidants, was also suggested. Implementation degree: the results were implemented in GKRSP "Greenconstruction" for differential planting of greenery industrial territories and in lecture and practical courses "Botany", "Ecology", "Industrial botany", "Ecophysiological basis of plants resistance". Effectiveness: will promote optimization of improvement of ecological conditions of industrial territories,c ontaminated by chromium, improvement of ornamental flower plants conditions, enlargement of assortment for industrial zones planting; increase of students training level.
