The trolleybus' traction frequency-controlled induc- tion electric drive with the system of control, in which the functional converter, that allows the soft traction characteristics to mould, when the frequency of mo- tor's fee equal ding voltage is lower and equal to rated, had used, are described. The experimental plant, by means of which adequacy of the mathematical model are tested, had created. By means of the mathematical model and the experimental plant investigation of the developed electric drive's electromechanical processes and characteristics in the various regimes are carried out.
