The thesis is devoted to the investigation of affect, caused by altered gravity on the cytoskeleton arrangement and calcium ions distribution in B. vulgaris root hairs during their development. Methods of immunocytochemistry, scanning, electron and fluorescent microscopy as well as slow clinorotation helped to reveal the role of cytoskeleton and calcium in tip and plagiotropic growth of root hairs. It is postulated that hairs possess inner strong mechanisms of growth direction in which microfilaments and calcium are involved.
