The thesis is the first complex research of traditional wedding symbolics of Western Polissia. In the work the semiology of wedding symbols (singing, structural, attributive) is cleared and their primitive semantics is established; also the structural - historical analysis of wedding ritual tekst is made, therefore the factors are clarified which have formed the basis for conceptually - semantic at a sign level.
