The dissertation is devoted to development of local strength theoretical basis of structural elements at the collision with birds. It containts theoretical and practical results, comprising the engineering strategy of determining critical velocity damaging the airplane units at the collision with birds; bird deforming and bird destroying models under it collision with the barrier; elaborated strategy of determination of local demaging area; description exploratory bird-resistance testing stand; experimental investigations of AN-28, An-72 and An-70 airplane units.
