The thesis is dedicated to development of fundamental theory of process of finish face milling for finish machining of hardened cast-iron and steel parts. The main kinematic parameters of process of stepped milling with using of slanting-angle geometry of cutting elements were analyzed. The process of face milling was studied. On its basis the guidelines are designed to definition of optimal geometrical parameters of face milling cutters and cutting mode when machining of hardened cast-iron and steel parts.
