Bipura L. Evaluation of forest vegetation potential of floodplain meadows of the medium flowing Severski Donets during forest amelioration of its agrolandscape

. Research Object - medium flowing Severski Donets and its tributaries within the Kharkov region. The aim of the research was to check the reliability of forest typological classification principles, based on the unity of vegetation and environmental habitat, for the evaluation of forest vegetation potential of meadow plains, needed during forest amelioration of agrolandscapes. During the research, forest typology methods by P.S.Podgrebnyak, D.V.Vorobiev and L.G.Ramenski were placed as a base. Arial investigations and soil analysis were carried out within state standard restrictions of Ukraine. Theoretical and practical results, i.e. the novelty of the research is that the forest vegetation potential of different meadow types was evaluated and the forest vegetation properties of different meadow soils wee characterized. Meadows, which should be set aside expediently in the first place under afforestation were defined and recommendations on the selection of arboreal species for the plantations, on which they were created, was given. A high compatibility in gradation between the trophicity-moisture edaphis net of Alekseev Pogrebnyak and the ecological scale of L.G. Ramenski was established.
