Essay

The influence of transversal bounded size of target and detector for long-wavelength transition radiation by high-energy electrons is investigated. The transition and diffraction fadiation fields evolution in the formation zone is studied for transversal bounded target. The effect of considerable distortion of millimeter transition radiation intensity by high-energy electrons is predicted.
