Essay

Objects: methane, freons - CF2Cl2 and CHF2Cl, solution Kr1-x(CH4)x. Goals: to determine influence of rotational motion of molecules of a methane series on isochoric thermal conductivity. Methods: Method of investigation of temperature dependence of thermal conductivity, method of comparison. New results: New installation was create for measuring thermal conductivity of solidified liquids and gases. The author has managed to observe the change of the magnitude and the behaviour of isochoric thermal conductivity depending on the character of rotational motion of molecules in methane and freons of a methane series CF2Cl2 and CHF2Cl. A comparison with other freons of a methane series is made. It is shown that in the conditions when thermal conductivity of a crystal approaches its lower limit, the contribution of point defects to thermal resistance does not remain constant and decreases with increasing temperature.
