Essay

The dissertation is devoted to obtain transgenic pea plants (Pisum sativum L.) by double genetic transformation. Regenerable pea lines have been obtained on the first stage. Transgenic pea plants containing the Ac, nptII and gus genes have been obtained using the method of Agrobacterium-mediated transformation, protoplast electroporation and gold particle bombardment on the second stage. The transferred genes were stably integrated and inherited up to T5 generation. Pea micropropagation method in in vitro culture was developed.
