Methods( clinical, radiological, biomechanical and statistical. Established the clinical, and biomechanical disturbances of stato-locomotor functions in patients with old dislocations and defects of the hip joint. On the basis of these factors it's been worked out biomechanical model of weight bearing disturbances in the hip joint and optimal possibilities to improve it with the help of proximal femoral reconstruction. Worked out the technology of reconstructive operative intervention on the proximal femur in such patients using external pin fixators which allows to improve the treatment results. Results of the research are employed in Kharkov scientific research institute of orthopedics and traumatology named after M.I. Sitenko, Kharkov district clinical traumatology hospital, and in teaching plan of traumatology, orthopedics and burns department attached to Kharkov postgraduate medical academy.
