Design and geometrical parameters of modular combined end reamers, changeable cutting laminas and places of their attachment. Perfecting of modular combined end reamers at the expense of a permissible reducing of sizes of mounting points of cutting laminas ensuring economies of tool's material and improvement of conditions for arrangement and transportation of a swaft. As method of testings the mathematical modelling based on the three kinds of models was used: verbal, analytical and trial-and-error-statistical. Instrumentation: a measuring microscope, silicon strain gauge, strain-gauge four-channel amplifier, fast-response self-recording device. Principles of design of modular end reamers with minimum and unitized parameters of a cutting part are established. Functional connections between the shape and sizes of a cutting lamina, kinematics of process of a coredrilling and geometry of the tool for the first time are analytically established, which one allow to determine conditions of absence of overwr iting of main and auxiliary flank surfaces of modular end reamers. The model of forces operation on a cutting lamina of an end reamer and her mounting point is obtained and it permit to investigate processes descending in a mounting point of a cutting lamina by analytical methods. The regularities of distribution of diameters and length of a cutting part of modular end reamers are established, and allow to execute layout of a modular combined end reamer with fit on stages. The regularity determining an available depth of a foramen stage, processed without technological injections of tool is obtained. The algorithm of designing of modular combined end reamers with the minimum and unitized sizes of cutting laminas and their mounting points is designed. Practical outcomes of work: the boundaries of usage of cutting laminas with one-planar and biplanar sharpening of a flank surface are determined; the minimally permissible boundary of diameters of end reamers, which can be produced modular with changeable cutting laminas, is established; the boundary of reducing of parameters of a mounting point has allowed to reduce the sizes of a cutting lamina, due to the consumption of a red-hard steel will be reduced in 1,5 - 2 times. The guidelines of designing modular combined end reamers are designed. This guidelines are used on OJSC "Vinnitsa tool plant" and OJSC "Gorlovka machine works". The outcomes of work can be used in educational process during study of a course " Machine tools ", and at elaboration techniques of designing of axial tools by designer offices of tool plants.
