Essay

The Belousov-Zhabotinskii (BZ) reaction. To establish quantitative parameters for determination of sensitivity of deterministic chaotic oscillatory regimes in the BZ reaction and for analysis of influence of small perturbations on them. The investigations are performed in batch and flow reactors using potentialmetric method. Quantitative dependencies of effect of temperature and small amounts of chemical compounds on BZ reaction are defined experimentally. By the analysis of improved kinetic scheme the reasons of temperature influence on changes of oscillatory regimes in the BZ are established. A method for determination of chemical microimpurities is proposed. Application area is nonlinear phenomena and analytical chemistry.
