Nikitina O. Pathomorphologic aspects of the diseases of the thyroid gland in humans in Pridneprovye industrial region.

. The dissertation is devoted to the study of pathomorphologic aspects of the diseases of the thyroid in adult human population in Pridneprovye industrial region. For the first time this work includes statistical analysis of the general condition of the pathology of the thyroid in the region for the scope of 16 years as well as analysis of the changes in nosologic structure of the diseases of the thyroid classified by the years of study. The author has developed and introduced a set of methods of histo logic diagnostics of the thyroid pathology: 1-method of extravascular perfusion of the thyroid tissue with 5% gelatin solution to search for F-surface on semithin cuts; 2-method of stage assessment in pre-tumor and tumor processes in the thyroid by the state in some elements of its stroma. The methods suggested could be applied in work of morphologic laboratories that could also result in the better quality of the thyroid disease diagnostics.
