Essay

This thesis is dedicated to the study of biological rhythms of growth and development of Laelia Lindl. species under greenhouse conditions in moderate zone and in vitro culture. For the majority of species under study the basic complexes of their morphological structure were outlined for the first time. The nutrient media and conditions for seedling cultivation were developed. Quantitative characteristics of the epidermal leaf tissue were obtained. Quantitative and qualitative content of the pigment complex was examined. The comparative analysis of the anatomical, morphological and biological features of experimental plants allows to develop the optimum conditions for growing seedlings of different species considering their morphoecotype. The onthomorphogenesis of L. lobata Lindl. (Veitch.), L. lundii Rchb. f. et Warm., L. purpurata Lindl. and L. sincorana Schltr. in vitro culture was investigated. The technology of seedling cultivation was developed and the original data were presented concerning ways of adaptive ability increasing in plants transferred from sterile culture into the greenhouse conditions.
