Essay

In the dissertation there has been grounded the necessity of a tight closure with a thin autotransplant of a medullary cavity opened during the amputation. It has been proved that synostosis of tibiae allows one to increase a crucial loading upon the stump and to provide a great stability of "stump-prosthetic appliance" system. There have been developed the modes of loose and non-loose osseous plasty on shin stumps. Contraindications and possible complications have been defined. The recommendations devised are aimed at developing of high functional stumps of low extremities.
