Essay

Regeneration of bone tissue of animals and human being in plasty of bone cavities with hydroxyapatite enriched by silver. Our purpose is to substantiate experimentally clinical application of hydroxyapatite ceramics enriched by silver iones for plasty of bone cavities in operative treatment of inflammatory bone diseases. We used culture of medullary cells and sceletogenic mesenchime; bacteriological and morfometric, clinical and roentgenological methods as well as statistics. For the first time experimental and clinical substantiating of application of the hydroxyapatite enriched by silver iones for plasty of bone cavities was described. Its biocompatibility with bone tissue and manifested bactericidal action on St. aureus, E. Coli, Ps. Aerogunous was proved. It is stated that silver administered into hydroxyapatite structure dose not change the course of reparative process bone tissue is formed in ceramic granules. When making plasty of infected (St. aureus) bone wound in the experiment for the first time the effectiveness of anti-microbe action of such a form of hydroxyapatite was proved. A new method of bone cavities plasty with hydroxyapatite enriched by silver iones for patients with inflammatory bone diseases and high risk of infections complications on is proposed course of treatment good and satisfactory results are received in all the cases. Clinical and experimental achievements are introduced into practice of Sytenko institute of Spine and Joint Pathology Ukrainian Academy of Medical Sciences, Kharkov regional traumatological hospital; department of orthopaedics, traumatology and combustiology of Kharkov Postgraduate Medical academy; department of orthopaedics, traumatology and SES of Odessa State Medical University.
