Sayenko N. Morphofunctional peculiarities of fetal part of placenta with different extent of prenatal development of calves

Object for investigation: fetal part of placenta of cows and calves of red steppe breed. The aim of the investigation: establish the structure-functional peculiarities of the fetal part of placenta of cows in intercommunication with prenatal development of calves. Methods used: morphological, ultrasonic, zootechnics, aetological, haematological, clinical and statistical. Theoretical and practical results: structure changings in the fetal parts of placenta of calves which are determined prenatal growth and development of calves were revealed. Criteria of morphological and sonografical valuation of fetal part of placenta of cows in intercommunication with morphofunctional status and vialility of calves were elaborated. Results of investigations were used for the elaborating technology of the growth and feeding of calves in the neonatal period (accepted of Ministry of Agricultural Policy for adoption in farms of the south of Ukraine, 2000), inculcated in educational process in the veterinary medicine depa rtments in agricultural university of Ukraine.
